FacilitiesDesalination Test FacilitySaltworks has constructed and runs a fully permitted seafront desalination test facility complete with seawater intakes, pre-treatment, and discharge systems. In addition, it includes offices, laboratories, and fabrication space. The facility and team provide valuable infrastructure to develop and test desalination systems.Solar Thermal Test FacilitySaltworks operates a fully functional solar test station in the Okanagan region of BC. This system is used for testing Saltworks' novel heat capture process in an arid climate. Together, the pilot plant and solar station encompass valuable assets where the Saltworks team can demonstrate its technology as well as test others'.Manufacturing FacilitySaltworks is piloting its own innovative ion exchange material developed using low cost inputs and simple manufacturing.Mobile Desalination PlantSaltworks recently completed construction on it's first mobile desalination plant which runs at 1,000 L/day continuous flow. The plant, which was built into a full-sized shipping container, has been deployed inland for trials over the summer. |
