Ben Sparrow, P.Eng, MBA, PMP | Chief Executive Officer & Co-Founder
Ben Sparrow is the inventor of Saltworks Technologies' thermo-ionic desalination process. Ben's background involves designing and building large capital projects. Before starting Saltworks, Ben managed a $500 million portfolio of power plant rehabilitation projects. Ben is registered professional engineer and has a Master of Business Administration from Simon Fraser University.
Joshua Zoshi, B.A.Sc (EE), MBA | President & Co-Founder
Joshua Zoshi is the Co-founder of Saltworks Technologies and the contributing developer of Saltworks' breakthrough process. Joshua started his career as a semiconductor engineer and more recently managed projects for clients in diverse sectors such as energy, oil and gas, and software. Joshua has a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Applied Science and Electrical Engineering from Simon Fraser University.
Malcolm Man, M.Sc., MBA | VP Business Development
Malcolm is an experienced clean technology executive. He was a co-founder of Tekion, an alternative energy company, where he developed, negotiated, and managed partnerships with Motorola, BASF, US DOE, and US Army. He also Chaired the US Fuel Cell Council’s Portable Power Group and led a team that advanced airline regulatory changes to assist fuel cell dispatch. Malcolm has a Master of Science in Environmental Engineering from the University of Southern California and Master of Business Administration from the University of British Columbia.

Peter Wong, CA | Director
Peter is the Chief Financial Officer of Plutonic Power, a public company developing power projects in British Columbia. He has proven financial leadership with experience from small start up enterprises to major capital projects. Peter also has extensive experience with management and listing of public companies on Canadian and US major stock exchanges. Peter is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Canada and holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of British Columbia. Peter brings financial leadership to Saltworks' Board.
Robert Sparrow, P.Eng, C.Eng, M.I.Chem | Director
Robert is a Senior Vice President in the Chemicals and Petroleum Business Unit of SNC Lavalin Inc. He has over 35 years experience in process engineering design, plant operation and supervision. He has a Doctor of Science from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich, a Master of Arts in Systems Engineering from Lancaster University England and a Bachelor of Technology in Chemical Engineering from the University of Bradford England. Robert is a registered Professional Engineer in Alberta and a Member of the Institution of Chemical Engineers England. Robert has extensive experience in process plant design, project development and plant operations.
Jack Gin, P.Eng | Director
Jack is an experienced technology developer, successful entrepreneur and angel investor. He is the founder and former chief executive officer of Extreme CCTV (EXC:TSX), a company purchased by Bosch for $93 million in 2008. Jack was recognized with the Entrepreneur of the Year Award in Technology - Pacific Region in 2007 and Burnaby's Business "Newsmaker of Year" (2007). Jack is also a registered professional engineer and brings a depth of technology commercialization and marketing to Saltworks.
